Pharmacists (Pharm-D) Licensing Guide

Application Process for Pharmacists

The licensing process for all Middle East Health Authorities generally involves three key steps, completed in the following order:

  1. Dataflow Verification:
This is typically the first step. In this phase, all your required documents are cross verified from the issuing bodies by the Dataflow team. Verification may be done via email, courier, or even in-person visits to confirm the authenticity of your credentials. The process usually takes around 35 to 50 days, although it can sometimes be completed earlier or delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.
  2. Exam Scheduling:
Once the Dataflow verification is complete, you must schedule your licensing exam. This is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted at Prometric or Pearson VUE centers, which are available in most major cities across many countries.
  3. Registration:
In the final step, you apply for registration with the relevant health authority by submitting your verified Dataflow report and exam results. If everything is in order, the authority will issue you a registration or eligibility letter. You can then use this letter to apply for jobs within the healthcare system of that country.

Note:
In Saudi Arabia, there is one additional step which comes after dataflow completion called β€œπ‚π₯πšπ¬π¬π’πŸπ’πœπšππ’π¨π§β€ where candidates documents, qualifications and experience are assessed and after that candidate is either assigned written exam or oral evaluation. For example, physicians may be classified as General practitioner, registrars, or consultants.
